Plaid in the City

SHIRT: H&M. SKIRT: H&M dress worn as skirt. HANDBAG: Balenciaga Seigle City with Rose Gold Hardware. SHOES: Nine West. SUNGLASSES: Chanel. NECKLACEStella & Dot La Coco Curb Chain. WATCH: Michael Kors MK5160. BRACELETS: Forever 21, J.Crew, Stella & Dot Serpent Bangle.

I bought this plaid shirt at H&M last fall, but this is the first time I have worn it.  Every time I would put it on,
it just felt too casual for the office. . . that is, until I paired it with this H&M dress I purchased last week.  After adding the gold jewelry, it instantly felt work appropriate.

This looks so great together! I love the high low hem of the dress. I would love to see what the top of it looks like too! Maybe another post?

Thanks so much Alison! Yes, you will definitely see this dress again! It’s sleeveless with a scoop neck. I can’t wait for the weather here in Toronto to get a little warmer so I can wear sleeveless tops and summer sandals!

You are adorable and I love this entire outfit. I always try to find ways to wear more “casual” items to the office too. Business casual is boring!

Aww, thanks so much Amy! Totally agree that business casual is boring! It’s also so easy to get stuck in a rut of black pants or skirt and a blouse. That’s one of the reasons I started this blog. . .to motivate me to make creative choices each and every day!

Aww, thanks Donna! It’s so easy to just through my hair back in a pony tail! :)
