Up High, Down Low

Dress: Lush. Belt: Aldo. Handbag: Balenciaga City. Shoes: Nine West. Sunglasses: Chanel. Necklaces: H&M. Ring: BCBG. Bracelets: Forever 21, Chain is a gift from a lovely friend.

 

The high-low skirt trend is definitely not for everyone.  I have some friends who are very opinionated when it comes to the mullet dress.  As you’ve seen, I’m definitely a fan, as worn here, here and here.  Are your rocking the high-low style this season?

    Jenny, I am a hug fan of mullets dresses/skirts right now BUT I haven’t found the right lenght for myself yet *bummer*. All the time I try them on, it looks terrifying :-D but I don’t give up hope to find the perfect high low dress :-) . You absolutely rock this outfit, love the coloured symmetrical pattern, adds a fun touch to the outfit. Great pairing with the grey pumps and silver belt. To give it some edgyness I would wear a leather jacket next time maybe? :-) Have a wonderful weekend dear, any plans? :-*

    Another note when I look at the pics. I think this dress will look absolutely refreshing and summerish when you pair them with yellow pointed toe pumps and a lilttle light yellow clutch :-) . Just a thought :-D

      Thanks Ani! I thought the exact same thing! Only, I don’t own yellow shoes or a clutch. I’ve been looking for the perfect yellow shoes for almost a year, but I’m still on the hunt! I’m going to New York next week, so maybe I’ll find them there.

    If you wake up one morning and find all your dresses missing it’s because I’ve followed through on my plan to steal them all! I love this dress! I bought my first high low dress last week but haven’t worn it yet. It looks great on you!

      Ha ha, it’s so funny you should say that because my boyfriend and I know nothing about photography. The only setting on the camera we adjust is the exposure and I find this makes a big difference. I’m using the Canon T2i Rebel with a 50mm lens. When buying the camera I literally went to the store, told the salesperson I was taking photos of myself (which was a little embarrassing) and he told me to get that camera and lens. The camera is very easy to use. Thanks so much Katie!!

    I personally love the fishtail skirts/dresses, even though they don’t completely look all so hot on me. Oh well. I’m sure it’s okay in certain angles ;) The pattern on that dress is perfect for summer and I LOVE your bag. One day. Sigh.

      Thanks so much! I’m curvy so I find wearing a belt cinches in my waist and draws attention to the smallest part of my body. I do own a lot of belts!

    This dress is so beautiful, the color pallet is amazing! LOVE this look!
    I bought a low high skirt last month and every time when I see it in my closet I feel that it was the best find ever, and I’m sure you’ll feel the same about this dress! :)

    Looking great Jenny! Of course I rarely meet a print I don’t like and this looks great on you! I keep going back and forth about the high/low thing but I think you may have swayed me. This would be great as a skirt too! Maybe some black booties with a little hardware and a cropped cozy sweater for wintertime.

    I just bought my first high-low dress of the season! I’m nervous about any shape that is too trendy, but I do love the look of this! I think the key is to go with colors or patterns that are more timeless. I love yours!
