Christmas in July

July 26, 2012

Top: Zara. Skirt: Vero Moda. Shoes: Jimmy Choo. Watch: Michael Kors. Necklaces: Forever 21. Bracelets: Forever 21, J. Crew, BCBG. Rings: Kate Spade, Ardene. Sunglasses: Chanel.

 

First it was Halloween, now it’s Christmas.  I was feeling pretty good in this outfit until a male co-worker said, “You look like Christmas!  In July!”.  Why yes. . .yes I do.  He thought it was a compliment.  Me, not so much. Gotta love men.

    Men and their “compliments” :) . You look amazing, I love how you layered the peplum top and skirt to accentuate the peplum effect, it definitely works really well on you! The shoes tie it all together, especially since they match your nails.

    I actually didn’t see it until I really looked and that’s only because of the shoes. I think you look great, love the top with that skirt! Next time just nude or black shoes.

      I actually tried it with nude shoes at first, but thought that it didn’t give the outfit enough punch. Maybe a yellow or blue shoe would work with this colour combo too. Now I just need to buy a yellow or blue shoe. :) Thanks Iva!

    I love love LOVE the peplum with a skirt like this! It’s stunning. Also madly in love with that skirt -the color is gorgeous. I always tend to stay away from red & green for that reason exactly. But you look great, Christmas and all :)

    Love this look! I saw it on Atlantic-Pacific with the peplum over a full skirt and have been wanting to try it! It looks perfectly adorable on you. I love the color combo, yes it’s Christmas colors but it’s not too much! Guys are just clueless sometimes on when they should keep their mouths shut.
