Jacket: H&M. Top: Jacob. Skirt: Zara. Handbag: Gucci. Shoes: Boutique 9. Necklace: Stella & Dot. Watch: Michael Kors. Bracelets: Forever 21 small chains, BCBG large chains, J.Crew triple bangs. Rings: Kate Spade, Ardene. Nail Polish: H&M.  Sunglasses: Chanel.

I’m currently loving all things yellow, so I thought I would mix it up and try a sunny nail polish.  I’m usually drawn to light pinks and neutrals, as they are easy to apply and match with everything, but I stepped a little out of my comfort zone with this bright polish.  I’m not convinced that it’s a good look for me, although I do like it with this outfit.  I felt a little like a teenager who painted her nails with actual paint during art class.  Bright nails might be one of those looks I love on others, but not on me.  Do you tend to stick to “match with everything” nail polish colours, or are you more adventurous when it comes to your nails?

I think the nails look great, although I know exactly what you are talking about… For whatever reason, I just like my fingernails to be naked. I say it’s because I chip them, but really I would feel like a teen among teens (as a teacher). Now my toes- I go crazy but they are rarely seen.

Anyway, I love the skirt with the yellow top. The hem and pattern of the skirt is very modern!

Thanks so much Katie! It’s funny, I ALWAYS go for a neutral on my toes because the polish lasts much longer, and I don’t want to worry about my toes clashing with the colour of my sandals. I really need to be a little more adventurous! :)

All right, can I raid your closet? No? Ok, well at least I can pin this for inspiration. I love everything about this outfit…especially the skirt. I’m the same way with polish, I always paint my toes some shade of red or pink and truthfully, I don’t bother much with my fingernails because it chips off so fast. :( You’ve inspired me to try a bright color, though!

Nailpolish colours are picked up by mood and depending on working situations :-) . I have yellow polish too but have worn it just once as of your names reasons, also I feel like a teenager sometimes even with my 31 hahaha. Ha ha, I’m pretty lucky that I get into the office before everyone else, so I usually paint my nails first thing in the morning. It’s great because I could change my colour daily if I wanted to, however, I’m way too lazy for that too. It’s actually on the weekends that I never want to do my nails, so I completely understand!
