Dress: Rag & Bone. Handbag: Balenciaga City. Shoes: Nine West. Sunglasses: Chanel. Ring: Banana Republic. Nail Polish: OPI in San Tan-tonio.

 

The summer of 2008 was consumed by my obsession for this Rag & Bone shirt dress.  It started when I saw it on Cameron Diaz, and immediately knew it had to be mine.  I spent a week calling stores, checking the internet and finally having to call their head office to find out where I could get my hands on it.  I ended up finding the last one in my size in the entire U.S. at a small boutique in NYC.  I was thrilled once I received it, and pretty much wore it every day for the rest of the summer.  My persistence was definitely worth my time because I’ve continued to wear this dress every year since.  I know I will have this lightweight, classic tunic in my wardrobe for a very long time.

    Ooh, I remember this dress/tunic. Blake Lively also wore it that summer in ’08. It still looks great — so classic with a preppy edge. :)

    I still have plenty of years-old clothing that I wear on a regular basis. Just goes to show that you don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe every year. Maybe just a few new things to mix in (because who doesn’t like new things?!)…Thanks for posting this!
