If you’ve seen a few of my outfits, I think it’s pretty evident that I have a lot colour in my wardrobe, but, I do love a great neutral look just as much as the next girl. How about you? Do your favor one over the other, or is your closet pretty balanced with neutrals and bright colours?

Awww, that is just so sweet! Thanks so much Olivia!
You look so gorgeous in these neutrals! I’m the same as you – I have a lot of color in my wardrobe but every once in a while a neutral look is nice. As fall nears I’m starting to balance my neutrals and brights a little more. PS- I nominated you for a blog award today, feel free to check it out on my blog today if you want to accept

Thanks so much Emily!!
I like to think my closet is pretty balanced! I have trouble going all neutral, though. I just HAVE to throw in something colorful
I can’t help it sometimes. But I do really like an all neutral look like this one…it doesn’t seem bland because of the polka dots and the cool style of the jacket. And the bold jewelry.
Sarah’s Real Life
Ha ha, too funny, I felt the same way! I definitely wanted to add colour, but resisted. Thanks so much Sarah!
Lavender color is awesome! Amazing look!
Thanks Viktoriya! This is actually a taupey colour, but I can see how it looks almost lavender!
Loving your leather jacket Jenny! It’s perfect transition piece!

I totally agree! I do not want Fall to arrive, but we’ve had some cooler days here, and I must admit, I like wearing a light weight jacket.
I love the neutral zone. I have to force myself to buy color, but Im getting better at it!

Thanks Joanna! It’s funny, I start my day in jackets, take them off during the day, but then put them right back on around dinner. There is such a difference in temperature throughout the day right now!
I really love this look! I think I would have felt it necessary to add color in somewhere, but I like that you resisted the urge. It looks very elegant.
Kristina
Kristina does the Internets
Ha ha, thanks Kristina! I actually had bright pink pumps on at first, but thought I should pull back and keep the look neutral!
Love the neutrals and LOVE that jacket! Any chance it is recent? Otherwise I would love to steal it right off your back
It is the perfect mix of slouchy, leather, neutrals = perfection!

Unfortunately, I bought this jacket in the winter. Shockingly, this is the first time I’ve worn it! It’s great too because the colour is neutral, and the leather is perforated, which gives it a cool vibe. Thanks so much Kendall!
What a chic look! This is gorgeous!

I don’t have a lot of neutrals, but you make me want to buy more! It’s such a soft, pretty look. And I just adore that skirt, I’d never know it was a dress!

Ha ha, yes, it’s the same one!!! I just put a tee on it! Thanks Elena!
That’s what I thought:) Awesome idea Jenny!!!!!
Ha ha, thanks Elena!!
I loooove neutrals but since I’m quite neutral by myself, I feel they don’t bring out the best of me. I do combine neutrals with color all the time but I think that most of my clothes are brighter.
I really like your’re shoes. They seem to be the perfect nude pumps. How comfortable are they?
Thanks so much for visiting and commenting Toma! I love these shoes and they are super comfortable! I usually have a hard time with patent because I feel like they don’t breather or mold to your feet, but these are surprisingly comfortable! I would highly recommend them!
I am the same way Jenny. I have so much color in my wardrobe, but a neutral outfit is just as fabulous. This looks great on you. You always look so chic and classy.
Meredith
http://www.createthatoutfit.com
Ha ha, yes, you are the queen of bright colours Meredith!! Thanks so much!
i really like the fresh appeal of neutrals so i have neutral stapples that can be brighten up with accessories if needs be…
As for your outfit it’s a lesson in how to do neutrals i think the fact that you used different shades of the same color makes the complete look vibrant and contemporary.
That is just so sweet Christy! Thank you for the lovely comments!
Jenny, I love natural colours on you as they underline your natural beauty. That leather jacket is amazing, did you get it recently? Adds that edgyness to your look. I am pretty balanced with colourful and natural clothes. I tend to wear naturals more in the fall and bright colours in the spring/summer but really depends on my mood
Have a lovely evening dear Jenny :-*

You are so gorgeous!! loving how the handbag, jacket, skirt, shoes blend in together…it’s just so perfect! xx
My closet is pretty colourful but I do have a couple of plainer things, I usually wear the brighter stuff tho
Thank you so very much for your super sweet comments, and for visiting, Anna!

what a great outfit! i love the different neutrals and all the patterns in the dress and necklace. you look gorgeous!
Thank you so very much, and thanks for commenting!
That leather jacket is gorgeous, I love the style and was convinced it was from All Saints. Very nicely done, and I love that bag!
Ha ha, yes, you are totally right, it does look like All Saints! Thanks so much!
Sometimes it’s good to wear neutrals. I think of it as a “wardrobe cleanse.” I love how you continually challenge my thinking by putting t-shirts over dresses! Thanks for some inspiration!
Clare
Awww, thanks Clare! So glad I could help!
I love the cut of that jacket… it’s almost like a hoodie. And pairing it with the frilly, girly polka dot skirt is such a great look
Thanks so much Katie! I love the cut and draping of this jacket too!
I wear mainly neutrals myself! LOVE the colour of your Bal, btw… so pretty.
xo, alison*elle
Thanks Alison! This is my favourite Bal bag because of the colour! It really looks good with so much!
I love the neutrals on you with a dash of polka dots. This is the perfect example of timeless fashion and I love it.
I would say that my closet is pretty balanced with brights and neutrals. That said, I typically were brights over neutral during the summer months and leave the monochromatic schemes for colder seasons.

I totally agree! I definitely wear more bright colours in the summer! We’ll see how my Winter wardrobe plays out this year. I find that my style really has grown since I’ve started blogging. It has forced me to be more creative with my outfits, so I’m excited to see what Fall and Winter bring.
