Jacket: Zara. Skirt: Zara. Handbag: Chanel. Shoes: Jimmy Choo. Sunglasses: Chanel. Shoe Charm Necklace: Gift from my Dad.

 

I am completely obsessed with this new Zara striped peplum jacket.  I originally saw it on 2 bloggers in one day, and immediately phoned 3 Zara stores before finding it in stock.  I can already envision all of the outfits I can create with this super versatile piece.  The real challenge will be trying to not wear it every day.  I apologize in advance if you see way too much of this jacket in the near future.

      Ha ha, thanks Joanna! It’s brand new stock so I bet you’ll find it. When I phoned, they said that hadn’t received it yet, but I was impatient and wanted it right away! :) I’m sure more stores have it by now.

    I have so many black & white pieces- I usually pair it with pink or black on bottom. I never thought of trying it with purple, but this looks great!

      Thanks so much Rachel! I think the stripe is actually navy, but it is so close to black that when I paired it with black accessories, you really couldn’t tell the difference.

    Such an amazing jacket!! I spotted a peplum blazer at F21 the other day and I’m hoping the peplum trend will transition to fall in the form of blazers/jackets like this one. You look gorgeous!

      Thanks so much Lauren! Funny, I’m also wondering the same thing, so I don’t know if I can be that much help. I purchased mine new from a boutique, but several years ago (when the price was half of what it is now). I’ve never purchased anything vintage so I can’t recommend it from personal experience, but I’ve heard great stories from friends and other bloggers. I want a vintage Chanel also, and always check http://www.malleries.com/ but have not yet found the perfect one. I’ve heard many positive reviews about this site, but again, have yet to purchase from there myself. The new bags are just SO expensive that I don’t know if it’s worth the cost, and the fact that they’ve DOUBLED in price in only a few years is really annoying and frustrating. What I’m thinking is that I will keep looking for both new and vintage until I find a bag that I can’t live without, then I will purchase whatever bag that may be. If you are thinking of getting a classic 2.55 bag that is new in store (but you can find vintage also) then I would suggest to try to find one vintage with the following things in mind: 1. make sure it’s in flawless condition, 2. the prices should be much cheaper than current retail, 3. make sure it’s from a VERY reputable seller. Otherwise, it may be more worthwhile to buy new. Sorry for the long winded response, but I hope it didn’t confuse you more!
