A Sad Goodbye

Top: Joe Fresh. Dress (worn as skirt): Club Monaco (similar skirt here and dress here). Clutch: Balenciaga. Shoes: J.Crew. Necklace: Forever 21. Rings: H&M, BCBG. Sunglasses: Chanel.

Saying a sad good bye to:

1. Summer Whites:  I’m a huge winter white fan, but I think this fabulous Club Monaco dress is just too light weight for colder months.

2. Sandals:  With major temperature drops forecasted for this weekend in Toronto, this is probably the last time my tootsies will be free.

3. Sunlight:  Daylight hours are getting shorter and shorter.  I just made it home in time to snap these photos before the sun completely set.  Not quite sure how I’m going to take photos during the winter darkness.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Summer is a welcome sight in Dallas… but… we tend to bid it a fond farewell come late September, early October around here, too.

    Pretty dress.

Love this top! And those sandals are amazing. Move down south and you can wear sandals pretty much all year. (Okay, it might be a bit cold in January & Feb. but that is it.)

Jenny, it’s always amazing how you change a dress into a wonderful skirt combined with elegant shirts or blouses. The necklace and the sequins add that glamorous touch to your outfit.
Holy Moly, when I just read the title I was a lil bit anxious what is awaiting us with a sad goodbye, glad its only the white dress and sandals hahahha. I know that you takes your outfit pics everyday after work, I usually got my pictures taken at the weekend (3 different outfits) as I don’t have time during the week. Maybe t hat will be a possiblity for you? Or your ask a coworker to take pics of your quickly in the lunch break :-)

On another note: Jenny, as I am truly thankful for your lovely support, Iwould love to give your the Liebster Award. I don’t know, maybe you received it already, but you were the first person who came across my mind that I would like to give that recognition :-) You are such a lovely personal with a great sense of style so nobody deserves it more than you do :-)

Ha ha ha, oh Ani, you are just the sweetest ever!!! :) Thank you so much for your sweet compliments, and for the wonderful award. Actually, it is you who deserves it the most! :)

I think that’s a good idea, I might have to take several photos on the weekend. The only downside is that I like to sometimes match my nail polish to my outfits. I guess I will be wearing more neutral nail polish during the winter. No one at work knows about the blog, and I don’t really want them to know yet. They are not interested in fashion blogs, and a few co-workers have already said they didn’t understand them and thought it was silly that people take pictures of what they are wearing and post them online. I just figure it’s just better that no one knows.

I feel the same way! I put on a pair of wedges yesterday and wondered if it would be the last time my toes would see the light of day for another 6-7 months. I’m also a little concerned on how I wil get any outfit photos? My hubby who takes my pictures isn’t home until about 6pm…we are cutting it close as it.

Thank you so much Patricia!! Unfortunately, it’s already dark when I leave for work. It’s quite sad actually, in the winter, I leave for work and get home when it’s dark. I barely see sunlight in the winter. Taking a whole bunch of photos on the weekend it a good idea. I think I’ll have to start doing that. The only downside is that I like to change my nail polish to match my outfits, so I guess I won’t be doing that as much in the winter.

Anyway, you look gorgeous of course! I absolutely love the sequins and those shoes are simply stunning. I’m also amazed at how you and other bloggers I’ve seen find such pretty jewelry pieces at F21, I never seem to have much luck. Maybe I should give them another try.

I totally recognized that shirt! I saw it in the store just yesterday! I totally love it! Looks gorgeous on you!! I know it is hard to take pictures in the winter as it dark by the time you get home from work. My suggestion is if you have a blog everyday is to take more than one outfit pic on the weekend. A few on each weekend day so you can have sunlight. Hard I know but it may work if you want natural light.

Works for me and I am loving this out . Wow !

Such a good idea. My Man likes to call is “Fashion Show”, but I’ll often spend an hour or two playing in my closet putting together outfits for the week anyways. I’ve done this for years (way before I started blogging). What I really should do is create an outfit, then go out and photograph it, then just wear it that week! I’ll definitely try this.
