Jacket: J.Crew. Top: H&M Trend (recent). Skirt: J.Crew. Shoes: Nine West. Rings: Coach. Necklace: BCBG. Bracelet: H&M. Sunglasses: Chanel.

 

As soon as I saw this bright neon yellow top at H&M last week, I knew I had to buy it.  The colour is gorgeous, and the material feels like a super soft faux suede.  Obviously, neon was a huge Spring/Summer trend this year, but I’m really loving it for Fall too.  It feels a little unexpected paired with deeper, darker colours, and I love this yellow paired with bordeaux.  Will you still be wearing your neon pieces into Fall?

    Mmmmmm…I’m not sure if I’m wearing neon for fall. I’m in the mood for other colors like burgundy, navy blue, dark green or mustard…

    I wish we had an H&M where I live. Love this neon top with the skirt. The colors look fabulous together. I have nine west shoes like that…have yours given you blisters? I wore mine out shopping the other day and they gave me horrible blisters on the back of my heels. Maybe I need to break them in, but I was a little surprised.

      Oh no! That’s terrible!! I can honestly say that I’ve NEVER gotten any blisters from my plain Nine West pumps, and I have over 10 pairs. I find them to be extremely comfortable. I hope you just had to break them in.

      Thank you so very much Jordan! Funny, I was never big on the season thing either until I started blogging. Now I definitely pay attention to seasonal colours a little bit more. It’s good because it forces me to change up my outfits a little bit, but it”s not so great because I firmly believe in wearing what you want, when you want to. I do like the balance though.

    Goodness, I love this combination! I tend to shy away from neon, but the way to styled would be something I would definitely try. The neutral skirt and denim jacket really even out the bright yellow. So pretty!

    That neon top is great! I love how you mixed it with this season’s palette. Just this past week I was trying to clean up my closet and I had a little moment of sadness when I thought I had to put away my neons… I am so thrilled to have been wrong about that! You’re awesome Jenny!

      That is so sweet Yazmin!! I would definitely consider posting something like that, however, I don’t know if I would be much help. I’m late for work a lot because I just stand in front of my closet in the mornings hoping that something pops out at me. If after a few minutes, I haven’t thought of anything, I’ll just pick a piece that I want to wear, and start trying on other pieces with it until I come up with an outfit. I could just imagine how much work it is to juggle kids, school, a man, life and a blog. I’m definitely overwhelmed at times and I don’t even have kids! Another thing I do is when I buy a new piece, for example a skirt, sometimes I’ll try it one with several other things in my wardrobe right away to make several outfits. Then I’ll take photos on my phone, and check back to those photos at later dates so I already have outfits ready to go!
