Happy Thursday Everyone! Justin and I are soon purchasing a new car, so I’ve been trying to control my shopping for the last few months. However, with all of the beautiful winter coats out right now, I’m having a hard time restraining myself. A sucker for a stand out coat, this gorgeous Topshop purple number is just screaming my name. My heart also skipped a beat when I saw this drop-dead gorgeous J.Crew bracelet. That and it’s matching J. Crew necklace are at the very top of my wish list, as is this entire outfit from head-to-toe. What are pieces are you drooling over this season?

Applying my own make-up is definitely not one of my talents. Make-up artists are exactly that . . . artists, and I have no artistic ability whatsoever. So it’s no surprise that I absolutely love having my make-up applied by a professional. Since that’s not something that I do very often, I’m always searching for easy-to-apply make-up. Liquid eyeliner is definitely not what I think of when I say easy-to-apply. Frankly, it’s always scared me. I’ve tried to apply it a few times, with a horrendous, uneven outcome. When I received an offer to try the new Lancôme Artliner 24H eyeliner, I thought that since I’m a woman in my 30′s, it’s probably about time that I learn how to apply liquid liner.
Lancôme’s Artliner is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary, and to celebrate this milestone, Lancôme has launched the new Artliner 24H in 10 gorgeous and intense colours.
One of my main struggles with my skin, including my eyelids, is that it’s extremely oily, which means my make-up usually melts down my face quicker than it takes me to apply it. Liquid eyeliner has always intrigued me because it seems like it would last longer than a pencil eyeliner, but again, I’ve never been able to apply it properly. Lancôme must have sensed my concerns because they created 8 how-to video tutorials that break down different techniques for applying liquid liner into simple step-by-step strokes.
Below is the video I used to learn how to apply my favourite colour of the Artliner 24H collection, Royal Blue.
After watching the video and learning the trick of applying liquid liner in 3 sections starting from the outside of the eye, I was actually able to apply it pretty easily. I really love the smoothness of the felt-tip applicator which easily applied a dense and precise line. What impressed me the most was the long-lasting and smudge-proof formula. I wore the liner all day long and it didn’t smudge at all! That’s truly shocking for me because I’ve never experienced that before. It will take me a little bit of practice to perfect my liquid eyeliner application, but this is definitely the easiest-to-apply liner I’ve used. Plus, the colours are just gorgeous.
If you’re interested in trying the new Artliner 24H, Lancôme is offering 10% off any purchase on Lancome.ca with the code CRAZYSTYLE10 until October 16. Also, if you purchase an Artliner 24H on Lancome.ca before November 3, you can receive a free sample of Cils Booster, Lancôme’s super enhancing mascara base, with the code CRAZYSTYLECILS.
To coordinate with my favourite hue in the Artliner 24H collection, below are some Royal Blue pieces for Fall that are on my wish list. How absolutely fabulous is that Partyskirt?

I’m a big fan of graphic prints. I don’t think I’ve ever met a stripe or polka dot that I didn’t like. It’s therefore expected that black and white grid print, a huge trend for Fall 2014, would be right up my alley. I’ve recently purchased an Old Navy dress (you can see it in my post “NYC Gridlock”), and a great pair of Gap cropped pants (in navy). A windowpane print pair of black & white pumps, and a check patterned silk blouse are also on my wish list.
Today, I’m honoured to be guest posting for the super sweet Amy from Leopard and Lillies as she makes her big move from Dubai to San Francisco. I’m wearing my Gap grid print cropped pants in my guest post, so if you’re interested in checking them out, please head over to Leopard and Lillies. Are you loving this print as much as I am? Have you purchased anything grid print this season? Please do share!
