Crazy Love for. . .Kate Spade New York Fall 2013

Kate-Spade-New-York-Fall-2013

Oh Kate Spade, you’ve done it again. . .or should I say, oh (Creative Director) Deborah Lloyd, you’ve once again created a collection that has the perfect combination of girly-ness, quirkiness and colour.  1970′s New York City was the inspiration for the Kate Spade New York Ready to Wear Fall 2013 collection.  I love how they describe the colour palette of these pieces on the Kate Spade blog as “NYC Citron, Empire Beige, Asphalt, Maraschino, Shocking Pink and Disco Purple”.

Since I’m currently giving away the Kate Spade ‘Things I Love’ Book on the blog, I thought I would continue with the theme and show you my 9 favourite looks above from the collection.  I could see myself wearing every outfit shown above from head-to-toe.  I also love so many of the pieces in the remainder of the collection below.  Which look is your favourite?

The Kate Spade Spring 2013 collection also knocked my socks off, and is currently available in stores.  My absolute favourite pieces from the Spring collection are this stunning pink-feathered handbag, this fun striped dress, and this vibrant plaid dress.  Have you picked up any of the Spring pieces yet?

Crazy Love for. . . Prabal Gurung for Target

I am so in love with the entire Prabal Gurung for Target Collection!  Hitting stores on February 10, this 80+ piece collection is full of bright colours, feminine florals and flirty silhouettes.  Best of all, it’s super affordable!  My favorite piece in the collection is the stunning floral dress pictured above, and it’s priced at only $49.99!

Since Canadian Target stores are not opening until this Spring, it’s still unknown whether or not my Fashionistas in the North and I will have access to this gorgeous collection.  Yesterday, Target tweeted that we should stay tuned for an announcement regarding the line’s Canadian availability.  I’ll keep you posted on any news, but I’m hoping Target will offer pop up stores similar to the fun pop up shop they did last year for the Jason Wu for Target collaboration.

Pictured below are more of my top picks from the collection.  Click on the thumbnails at the bottom of the page to see the entire collection with pricing details.  Are you excited for this collaboration?  What are your favorite pieces?

Crazy Love for. . .Emerald, Pantone Color of the Year 2013

Remember when I mentioned in my post “Kelly Green” that I wanted to add more of the colour green to my wardrobe, but I haven’t seen much of it in stores?  Well, it’s soon going to be everywhere as Pantone has named Emerald their 2013 Color of the Year.  I’m super excited since just like Tangerine Tango (Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2012), this color will be everywhere!  I’ve already started to see more Emerald in stores since jewel tones are popular for the holiday season, and here are some of my favourite pieces that are currently available.

This is definitely the time of year to break out your fair isle. I love the warm, cozy feel of these knits. Surprisingly, it’s been hard for me to find pieces that I love, and I really haven’t seen a lot of this in stores yet. I thought they would be everywhere right now! Here are my favourite pieces I’ve seen online so far. I’m really hoping that more items will come out in the next month. Are you loving fair isle knits? Have you found any great pieces? Please share!
