Hopefully this is one of the last few times you’ll see me wearing a scarf and gloves. Toronto is supposed to be hit with a snowstorm today, but my fingers are crossed that Spring will finally arrive in a couple of weeks. It’s most likely wishful thinking, but in the mean time, I’ll try to enjoy adding bright pops of pink to my outfit with pretty winter accessories. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
I’m sure it’s pretty obvious by now that I have a major weakness for sparkly jewels. So you can probably imagine how excited I was attending the Swarovski Spring/Summer 2014 preview last week. With so many gorgeous jewels surrounding me, I was on sparkle overload, but in a good way. I was oohing and aahing in every breath and step. So . . . much . . . sparkle!
The upcoming collection, available in the next few weeks, centers around two concepts, “tribal glam” and “monochrome blue”. As you can see from the pictures below, the collection is full of earthy tones and brilliant primary colors.
My two favorite pieces from the preview were the gorgeous crystal cuff (pictured above) with bright shades of blue, red and yellow, and the stunning wood and crystal necklace (2nd to last photo) which showcases how a tribal theme can still feel ultra-feminine. I hope you enjoy drooling over these photos as much as I did!
This last photo is a fun shot of me walking the red carpet for the very first time! I’m wearing a Swarovski purple stunner.
When I’m strolling through the City or running errands, this is my typical winter uniform: a pretty headband or hat, a warm coat, jeans (with leggings underneath) and tall boots. Living in Downtown Toronto means I walk a lot, so keeping warm while trying to stay somewhat fashionable is key.
One winter item that I consistently get compliments on from strangers on the street is this gorgeous headband. I have it in 3 colours (black, white and purple), and finally found an online retailer who carries it (in several colours), Poppy and Dot. It’s definitely a winter statement piece.
