Some of you may remember that a few months ago, I was an ambassador for the launch of the 424 Fifth Spring collection.  This Mesh Top and Yellow Midi Skirt were two of my favorite pieces from the Spring line up.  I recently got a sneak peek of the Fall collection, and trust me, you’re going to love what you see.

Since we thankfully have many more weeks of Summer weather before Fall hits, I’ve teamed up with 424 Fifth to giveaway 3 of their hottest accessories for Summer.  All of my lovely Canadian ladies can win the accessories show below:  a gorgeous palm print clutch, a stunning crystal statement necklace and a beautiful wide cuff.  Simply enter using the Rafflecopter widget below and follow the instructions as stated.  Contest closes August 3 and is open to Canadian residents (excluding Quebec).

Stripes for All Occasions

What to Wear to the Office

Club Monaco Striped Jacket (similar from 424 Fifth)  //  424 Fifth Polka Dot Mesh Top  //  Zara Pink Pants  (similar from B/R)  // Nine West White Martina Pumps (similar)  //  Chanel Caviar Jumbo Handbag (beautiful vintage version at Farfetch)  //  Chanel Sunglasses (similar from Madewell)  //  Stella & Dot Odette Ring

Stripes, stripes and more stripes.  Stripes are such a classic and easy print to pair with almost every pattern and color.  I used to be scared of horizontal stripes because “they” say that horizontal stripes make you look wider. Well, whoever “they” are, “they” are wrong.  I’ve since learned that it’s actually about the fit and cut of the clothing rather than the direction of the stripes.  I know that vertical stripes are supposed to elongate your body, however I actually find horizontal stripes to be much more flattering most of the time.

To add a little bit of fun to this post, I’ve partnered with two extra fabulous Canadian ladies to showcase how we each wear stripes for three different occasions.  The super stylish Kira from Northern Style Exposure is highlighting casual stripes, the always gorgeous Eleni from Convey the Moment is wearing stripes for date night, and I’m wearing stripes for the office.  Definitely check out these two wonderful women over on their blogs.

This striped Club Monaco jacket is one of my favorite items in my wardrobe.  Sadly it’s old, but 424 Fifth currently has a very similar version on sale available at Hudson’s Bay or Lord & Taylor.  It seems to look good with everything, and adds that perfect finishing touch to an outfit.  I’ve also worn it with sneakers for a casual look, with a chartreuse dress for work, and a white dress for a date night.

Banana Republic Floral Dress

Nine West White Pumps

Spring Floral Trend

Dress: Banana Republic.  Coat: Jacob (similar from Modcloth). Heels: Nine West. Sunglasses: Chanel (similar from Juicy). Handbag: Chanel. Lipstick: MAC “Girl About Town”.

The weather here in Toronto hasn’t quite reached Spring temps yet.  We’ve had a few beautiful, warm days but most have been on the chillier side.  I did get overly excited when I saw the first blooming tree this week, so I’m pretty hopeful.  But this floral Banana Republic dress certainly has me ready for Spring.

My parents are coming to visit me in Toronto this weekend, which means a few days full of family, food, and shopping . . . my ideal weekend.  I’m especially thankful that I get to spend Mother’s Day with my Mom, because that’s not always the case.  I’m also excited because tomorrow is the first Floral Market of the season in Toronto. This will be my first time going so you can bet I’ll be unable to control myself with all of the beautiful floral photos I’ll share on Instagram.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and a lovely Mother’s Day for all of you Mama’s out there.
