This outfit is very typical of what I always wear when I travel by air:
- Comfy slip-on flats so I can easily remove them at Security and on the airplane (with socks in my purse).
- A scarf or a sweater with fur collar to stay warm because I’m always freezing on planes.
- Layers so I can remove some of them when I reach my warmer destination.
- A large carry-on travel bag to hold anything that I don’t want to risk losing in my checked luggage, usually including some of my designer handbags and shoes, jewellery, laptop and camera.
Oops. . . you may notice the hair elastic on my wrist. Not the most stylish accessory, but definitely another essential for airplane travel.
If you read yesterday’s post, you would know that I wrote about how excited I was to get home after work to an extra hour of sunlight. Well, it was just wishful thinking because it rained from the moment we woke up to the moment we went to bed. These photos of what I wore yesterday were taken in the only tiny little covered crevice around my condo building. The only bonus was that the temperature was really mild, so I guess that made up for the rain. Today is day 2 of hoping for some sunny skies and decent light to take photos tonight!
And. . . some good news for one of you. . . the winner of the José Eber hair styling tool of your choice is. . .Olivia T! Please check your e-mail for a message from me. Thank you so much to everyone who entered!
Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Did you all watch Beyonce’s AH-MAZ-ING Superbowl halftime show? Wow, she killed it!
Now, on to the outfit. . .I bought this coat a few months ago, but the rest of the pieces I’m wearing are all several years old. The Improvd wrap top I’m wearing is a really cool piece. It can actually also be worn upside down with a slip underneath and it looks like a dress. The boots I purchased in NYC many years ago from some random store we stumbled upon while strolling through Soho. The label on the shoe is worn out so I can’t remember the brand name, but I do know it’s a brand I have not heard of. I spent years searching for the perfect black high boot and got so lucky I came across these. I have pretty short legs with relatively big feet for my height ( size 8 ), so it’s extremely difficult to find boots that fit my calf and legs properly. It will be a sad, sad day when these wear out.
All of you lovelies who follow along on Instagram have already seen these adorable Nine West kitten heels I picked up last week. The bow is the absolute perfect shape and the colour is a gorgeous midnight blue patent. I debated buying them in black also, but there were so many colourful pairs of shoes in the store that caught my eye. Instead, I bought the perfect pump in fire engine red patent, and a classic heel in the prettiest makes-me-want-Spring-now shade of green, coming soon to an Instagram near you!
