Holiday Sparkle

Happy Thanksgiving to the lovely Americans celebrating this wonderful holiday full of the 3 F’s. . . family, food and football!  Even though we’re Canadian, my Man thinks this is the best holiday of the year.  The last two years we’ve spent U.S. Thanksgiving in Nashville, Tennessee visiting Justin’s sister.  His entire family flies down from Canada to celebrate.  This year we were unable to attend because it’s too crazy at work for me, but we hope to continue the tradition next year.  I wore this sparkly festive outfit earlier this week, and it will definitely be on repeat during the Christmas holidays as well.

A Sad Goodbye

Saying a sad good bye to:

 

1. Summer Whites:  I’m a huge winter white fan, but I think this fabulous Club Monaco dress is just too light weight for colder months.

 

2. Sandals:  With major temperature drops forecasted for this weekend in Toronto, this is probably the last time my tootsies will be free.

 

3. Sunlight:  Daylight hours are getting shorter and shorter.  I just made it home in time to snap these photos before the sun completely set.  Not quite sure how I’m going to take photos during the winter darkness.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Feather Factor

I have been itching to wear these three pieces (top, belt and skirt) for a few weeks, so I thought “hey, why not wear them all together”.  I LOVE this new Joe Fresh baseball tee (the perfect mix of casual and sparkle) and this new Wilfred skirt (the perfect mix of party and polish).  I’ve had this gorgeous J.Crew feather belt for a while now. It can be somewhat tricky to style, so I was super excited when it paired easily with this outfit.

Rainy Day

I’m not a fan of humid rainy days, nor the big frizzy hair that comes along with them (as seen in these photos), but I will admit that I was hoping for a single rain cloud just so I could use this new adorable umbrella.  The printed bird cage and little birdie are just so cute that it almost makes me hope for more rainy days. . .I said almost.
