Tropical Obsession

Does an article of clothing ever spark an all-consuming “can’t sleep, can’t eat, can’t work until I own it” feeling in you?  Well, this Topshop tropical print skirt did just that for me.  I actually gasped out loud when I saw this skirt on their website.  My lovely lady curves make it difficult to order skirts (especially form-fitting ones) online, so I immediately called my Topshop, only to be told that there is a 2-3 week delay before we receive items here in Canada.

 

I obsessed over this skirt, glimpsing at it daily online, imagining outfit possibilities and calling the store daily.  After an agonizing four weeks, I finally heard the “Yes, we have it” I had been dying to hear.  I dropped everything, rushed to the store and almost shed a tear when it actually fit well.

 

Be warned, you will see much more of this skirt in the future!

 

Am I crazy obsessive, or has an article of clothing ever brought out the same feelings in you?

Seeing Spots

Sometimes I can be a little matchy-matchy, but coordinating my umbrella to my skirt was a complete coincidence!  After realizing my “accident”, I now want to buy a colorful umbrella to pair with other outfits on rainy days.  Am I alone in wanting to match an umbrella to my clothing?

We’ve all seen this H&M floral pant on just about every fashion blogger, but at only $14.95, can you blame us?  The beautiful pinks, blues and greens, along with the black and white, make this pant so versatile for creating different looks.

A timeless fashion combination for me is blue & white stripes with a splash of red, resulting in a fun nautical feel.  I think the gold accents add a chic appeal, making this appropriate for casual Friday’s at the office.
