Made In Canada

Skirt: Tristan. Jacket: H&M (similar). Top: Jacob. Clutch: Marc Jacobs. Shoes: Boutique 9 (similar). Sunglasses: Gucci. Watch: Michael Kors. Bracelets: BCBG, J.Crew, Forever 21. Rings: Coach.
Some of you may have seen on Instagram that I purchased this gorgeous abstract print skirt at the Tristan store opening event I attended a few weeks ago. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful jewel tone colours, and could picture wearing this skirt all year round. As a fabulous bonus, this skirt is made in Canada, along with many other of the pieces from Tristan. Sadly, it’s rare now a days that brands produce merchandise in our own country, so it’s wonderful to be able to support our economy.
P.S. Keeping with the Canadian theme of this post, all of you lovely Canadian ladies can click here to enter to win a Clarisonic Mia2 Cleansing System. I am madly in love with my Clarisonic Mia2 and highly recommend it!

One year ago today, Crazy Style Love was born . . . and what a year it’s been. Never in my wildest dreams could I have predicted the incredible amount of joy, support and personal growth I would receive from starting this blog. To recap the past 365 days, I thought it was fitting to showcase how I’ve worn one item in different ways.

Looking back at some of these photos, I realize just how much my style has evolved over the last year. To some, the changes might not be apparent, but to me, it’s like night and day. I feel that my style is much more refined than 12 months ago, and the new pieces that I’m adding to my wardrobe better suit where I want my style to be.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your incredible and constant support. The lovely e-mails and sweet comments you leave day after day are so touching and always bring a smile to my face. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Airplane Attire

Sweater: Joie (old). Top: H&M. Jeans: H&M. Shoes: Aldo. Travel Bag: Winners. Watch: Michael Kors. Sunglasses: Chanel.
This outfit is very typical of what I always wear when I travel by air:
- Comfy slip-on flats so I can easily remove them at Security and on the airplane (with socks in my purse).
- A scarf or a sweater with fur collar to stay warm because I’m always freezing on planes.
- Layers so I can remove some of them when I reach my warmer destination.
- A large carry-on travel bag to hold anything that I don’t want to risk losing in my checked luggage, usually including some of my designer handbags and shoes, jewellery, laptop and camera.
Oops. . . you may notice the hair elastic on my wrist. Not the most stylish accessory, but definitely another essential for airplane travel.

Date Night in the Desert

Top: Zara (similar from Target). Skirt: H&M. Clutch: Coach. Shoes: Nine West (Canadian link). Watch: Michael Kors. Belt (worn as necklace): H&M. Sunglasses: Chanel.
Ahh, these photos bring up major vacation withdrawal. Justin and I had such a fantastic time in Scottsdale, Arizona last week. I was there for a marketing course for work, while Justin joined me to soak up some desert sun. Our little saying all week was that I was “the fool in school, while he was cool by the pool”. I did get my fair share of pool side lounging in though, and I was definitely able to enjoy the 90 degree weather. Oh Arizona, I sure do miss you.
