Secret No More

After 3 months of keeping this “dirty little secret”, I finally told a few of my closest friends about this blog.   Before Friday, the only person who knew was my Man since he was suckered into being my photographer.  I’m a modest, shy person who breaks into a sweat at the thought of any attention or focus on me, so I was extremely hesitant to tell anyone about the fact that I’m taking pictures of myself and posting them on the internet for all to judge and criticize.  Well, of course I should have known that my friends are amazing, and could not have been more supportive.  I’m still not ready to tell everyone, nor do I think people really care, but this was a big step for me personally.  A question for other bloggers. . .are you open about your blog or do you keep it a secret also?

Summer Scarf

Ask my co-workers to describe me and I guarantee a few people will say “always cold”.  So it’s no surprise that even in the summer you’ll see me wearing a lightweight scarf or cardigan whenever I’m anywhere near air conditioning.  Perfect for warm temperatures, but a nice change from a cardigan, I can use a scarf as a shawl when I get chilly.  Are you into summer scarves?

Insta-Love: The Big Apple

I recently started using Instagram, and I’m now obsessed.

Here’s a sparkly glimpse into my amazing trip to NYC last week.

The food in NYC is to-die-for!  Balthazar has the best french onion soup ever.

Sipping a Blood Orange Cosmo at Mario Battali’s Babbo, one of my new favourite restaurants.

I couldn’t go to NYC without visiting (and over-indulging!) at Magnolia Bakery and Laduree!

The Times Square M&M store carries Raspberry Chocolate M&M’s…so delicious!

NYC is definitely the shopping world capital! Here are 2 great displays at All Saints and The Gap.

Super Tall

I feel super tall wearing these classic Jimmy Choo peep-toe platforms…okay, well, super tall for someone who is only 5’2″.  I don’t own many platforms, but I must admit I love not feeling like the shortest person in the room when I wear them!  Do you often wear platforms?
