Camo Club

Tuesday, September 11, 2012 142 0

Jacket: ZaraShoesKate SpadeTop: Zara (old). Skirt: Club Monaco. Handbag: Chanel. Sunglasses: Chanel.

I’m so excited to finally join the camo club.  Let me tell you, I was extremely hesitant.  I so badly wanted to become a member, but I just wasn’t sure if I could make it work with my feminine wardrobe.  Then I laid my eyes on this Zara camouflage jacket with a blazer cut and jewelled detail, and knew that this was my “in” to the group. Have you joined the club yet?

I personally have an aversion to camo but I think this looks so cute on you! Love it with the star print top!

    • Jenny
      September 11, 2012

Ha ha, it’s so funny but if you asked me 2 months ago if I would ever wear a camouflage print, I would have bet you a million dollars I would never wear it. It’s funny how our style and tastes can change so quickly (or be influenced by trends, which might be my case). 🙂

Love this. I may have to try out camo too. However we don’t have Zara here in Seattle. Is their stuff pretty true to size?

    • Jenny
      September 11, 2012

Thanks Christa! Yes, I think their sizing is pretty true to size, but I found this jacket runs a tad small. I’m usually an XS at Zara but really debated between the XS or S. I ended up going with the S, as I wanted to be able to wear long sleeves under it. The XS was tight in the arms.

    September 11, 2012

I have yet to join to the camo club.. sometimes I feel like it’s too much of something I wore when I was 11. But then I see people like Blair Eadie rockin it and I definitely think it’s back! I love the way you’re wearing it, that coat is such a subtle touch of it.

    • Jenny
      September 11, 2012

Ha ha, I never wore that as a youngin’ but I can see what you mean. 🙂 It seems like EVERYONE is wearing it right now and it’s in every store! Thanks so much Diana!

  • Ani
    September 11, 2012

this camo jacket looks so much more feminine with the blazer style and the jewelled detailing than other camo pieces. It will def rock your more classic/elegance pieces Jenny :-). I bet it will look amazing with jeans and some heels too as it is so versatile. I probalby wouldn’t get it for myself as I couldn’t wear it next year anymore when it’s out of fashion. I ‘d rather stick to classic pieces 🙂

I agree, I was concerned that this would be out of style soon, but I’m thinking that I’ll have this in my wardrobe for a very long time, and that this was the cutest camo jacket I’ve ever seen. I didn’t want to regret not buying it. I guess we’ll soon see if I made the right decision or not. 🙂
