If you want to step into the world of print mixing but don’t really know where to start, I find that the two easiest prints to mix are stripes and polka dots.  Keeping the prints in the same colour family will ensure that the pieces complement each other perfectly.

I want to give a big thank you to all of you for your wonderful support in my last post.  It’s great to see that many of you have the same goal to get healthy this year.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need a little support or encouragement to stay on track.  I’ll definitely do my best to help.  Even though it’s only been 2 days, it’s already been challenging to stay away from sugar and sweets (I have a major sweet tooth).  I just have to remember to take it one day at a time.  Thank you again!

P.S. Linking up with Marionberry and her stripe challenge of the month today!

Ooh, I like your sheer black hose. I find it hard to find non-shiny sheer hose. Do you have a go-to store for hose?

Thanks Jen! I agree, these are perfect, and the only brand I buy. The brand is Silks and I buy them at a Canadian Department store called The Bay. I have a feeling Silks is a Canadian brand, but I’m not positive. Good luck with your search!

I love your skirt – very flirty and fun. I have a similar jacket and never thought to add a fur scarf. I just bought the same one from H&M will be copying this look.

My favourite colour scheme, B & W, and favourite print, stripes and polka dots! Lovely outfit, and by the way, your optimism and determination to get healthy is contageous, good work! I share the yearning for sweet things, but will persist in my quest to slim down a little.

Love this edgier look on you and you’re right. Mixing prints can be trick but this looks great. Classic and modern at the same time!

As far as the other goes taking it one day at a time is the best way. Just remember if you slip that’s fine. Just try to make a better decision the next.
