It’s funny how our personal style changes over the years.  Several years ago, I wouldn’t have been caught dead in skinny jeans.  I’m a curvy girl, and after trying on a couple of pairs of skinnies, I quickly decided that the shape and cut did not flatter my figure.  I was “anti-skinny”.  Fast forward a few years to 2010, and it was nearly impossible to find anything but skinny jeans in stores.  Flares and boot cuts were hard to find, and somehow felt dated.  I had no choice but to conquer my “skinny” fear and squeeze my lady curves into another pair of skinnies.

I soon realized that depending on the brand, cut of the top half of the jeans and the weight of the denim, that skinnies could actually flatter my curvy shape.  Fast forward a few more years to 2013, and now I feel that skinnies are the style that flatter my figure the most!  Go figure.

I’m especially loving my Old Navy skinnies, and find that their cuts and shapes look really great on women with curves.  Plus, the price is awesome!  All of Old Navy’s skinny jeans are currently on sale until October 2, with prices starting at only $19!  Crazy!  They have so many fabulous prints, colours and textures.  I was immediately drawn to this fabulous floral pair I’m wearing, and I just love the subtle blue-on-blue print.

I’m right there with you. I avoided skinny jeans like the plague for years because I didn’t think my athletic frame could pull them off. Once I found a pair that worked I was hooked.

    Love the peplum top!

Adore the prints on those skinnies. Unlike you, I’m always about skinny jeans. I love paring loose top with skinnies as I never wear leggings. Those jeans look amazing on you <3

I felt the same about skinnies, but now resort to wearing them with longer jackets and heels making them a great item! This pair has a lovely fit and the print is awesome!

I totally relate to this. I didn’t always love skinny jeans but more because I was self-conscious and not because I actually disliked them. Now, I pretty much only wear those and you’re right…other styles of jeans are getting tougher to find in stores!
Love how these ON jeans look on you. I also love your shoes!!

I was totally the same way about skinny jeans. I think in the begining they just weren’t flattering for all figures. Now with the trend having so much staying power and cuts/fits getting better it is easier to find something that works.

Plus I find skinnies work better for the winter as they easily fit into boots 🙂
