Valentine Outfit Shopping with Mogo

Wednesday, February 4, 2015 18 1

I shop online. A lot. Now that I’ve started a new job, I have a lot less free time to head to the mall to satisfy my shopping addiction. I would much rather shop late at night in my pajamas from the comfort of my own bed. I was chatting about online shopping with a few friends the other day, and I was a little surprised that each of them said that they are a little hesitant to use their credit cards online for fear of their personal information being stolen. That had certainly crossed my mind, but it’s one of those risks that I am forced to take for the convenience of not having to leave my house to buy that gorgeous pink pleated skirt I’ve had my eye on.
I had never considered the use of a pre-paid credit card until recently. When Mogo reached out to me last month, I couldn’t help but think it was the perfect time (and fit) to partner with them to replace my use of my regular credit cards with their Mogo Prepaid Visa Card for my online shopping. The quick run down on Mogo is that they have no service fees, it’s accepted anywhere Visa is accepted, you can choose from 40 adorable designs, and best of all, it’s free! So how could I say no to that!
Now that I’m back working in an office, I need to add more work appropriate pieces to my wardrobe. I work in a pretty creative and flexible setting, so I get to have fun with my 9-5 look. While I was looking for office attire, I got distracted trying to find the perfect outfit for a Valentine’s dinner with my sweetie. I fell in love with all of these pieces below, and I’ll definitely be using my Mogo Prepaid Visa Card to pick up a few of these gorgeous items.

Sheinside coat  /  Karen Walker sunglasses  /  Bauble Bar earrings  /  Kate Spade Clutch  /  Bauble Bar bracelet  /  Current Elliott jeans  /  Kate Spade heels  /  Chanel nail polish

A big thank you to Mogo for sponsoring this post!

Hope all is well, and life is treating you good 😉

i am seriously dangerous with credit cards, i love the shop online. where are the Mogo credit cards available for purchase?

Love this post, i ? my Chanel polishes, the application goes on so great. Those earrings are too cute, love the jeans too. I am in desperate need of jeans myself, though finding the right pair to fit properly is not fun. the hunt continues.

    Enjoy your day 🙂

Hi Donna!!! Life is definitely good. I started a new job last month, so life’s been crazy busy!

The Mogo card is great for people who don’t want to accumulate credit on a typical credit card. It’s free, and can be ordered at

I understand being a bit hesitant to shop online, but my fear is always that I’ll buy something that doesn’t fit (or that isn’t as nice in person) and that it will be a pain to send back.

Payment in these situations can get tricky too. I’ve never heard of Mogo, but it sounds like a great concept that will help encourage people to shop online…and it’s amazing that the cards are pretty 😉

Hahaha, I also suffer from the same fear of something not fitting and having to return it, especially with shoes!!! I usually only order things only if I know it will fit me, but I do take risks for really fabulous items. lol

Yes, Mogo has so many pretty cards to choose from!!!

I don’t no if this card exist but its a great idea! I love the first pictures. So beautiful as always. And I absolutely love the jacket from sheinside. Did you order it? I don’t know to what quality I can expect from sheinside.

Hi Rhizlaine! The Sheinside coat looks GORGEOUS, but I have not yet ordered it. I’m hoping that another blogger will order it and do a review, because I’m just a little hesitant on the quality as well. But for the price, I think I might just take the risk. It really is so pretty. I will post it as soon as it arrives, and let you know about the quality.

Ditto! This is exactly the same with me. I too love shopping online; in fact, I hardly remember the last day I went for local store shopping. Anyways, thanks for sharing this denim. I have been longing for ripped jeans from quite some time, and this one looks chic. See if I could borrow a Mogo Visa card from one of my friends…

Thanks Jessica! With all of the fraud and debt issues out there, Prepaid Credit Cards are definitely becoming more popular.

Those Kate Spade heels, though! Can’t believe I missed them in my Valentine’s Day window/online shopping. They’re a classy take on the (more often than not) tacky heart shoes out there.

I agree, these shoes are adorable! Fun, yet not too young looking.
