Valentine Outfit Shopping with Mogo

Wednesday, February 4, 2015 8 1

I shop online. A lot. Now that I’ve started a new job, I have a lot less free time to head to the mall to satisfy my shopping addiction. I would much rather shop late at night in my pajamas from the comfort of my own bed. I was chatting about online shopping with a few friends the other day, and I was a little surprised that each of them said that they are a little hesitant to use their credit cards online for fear of their personal information being stolen. That had certainly crossed my mind, but it’s one of those risks that I am forced to take for the convenience of not having to leave my house to buy that gorgeous pink pleated skirt I’ve had my eye on.
I had never considered the use of a pre-paid credit card until recently. When Mogo reached out to me last month, I couldn’t help but think it was the perfect time (and fit) to partner with them to replace my use of my regular credit cards with their Mogo Prepaid Visa Card for my online shopping. The quick run down on Mogo is that they have no service fees, it’s accepted anywhere Visa is accepted, you can choose from 40 adorable designs, and best of all, it’s free! So how could I say no to that!
Now that I’m back working in an office, I need to add more work appropriate pieces to my wardrobe. I work in a pretty creative and flexible setting, so I get to have fun with my 9-5 look. While I was looking for office attire, I got distracted trying to find the perfect outfit for a Valentine’s dinner with my sweetie. I fell in love with all of these pieces below, and I’ll definitely be using my Mogo Prepaid Visa Card to pick up a few of these gorgeous items.

I’m so excited to share the 2nd of 3 posts wearing my favorite dresses from the Jill Jill Stuart Fall and Holiday Collections. It was really hard to choose my top pieces from the collections, but as soon as I saw this stunning hand-cut floral strapless dress, there was no question in my mind that this was at the top of my list. It fits like a glove, and the color is just so pretty. I wore this to a holiday party last week, and I couldn’t stop looking down at all of the gorgeous little flowers.

Since we had so much snow last week, Gaby and I slipped into our favorite cupcake spot to take these photographs. If you are ever in Toronto, Desmond & Beatrice is a must visit for the best cupcakes you’ll ever eat.

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I took these photos 2 weeks ago when I was visiting my hometown for our annual family reunion. My Mother has a very large extended family, and each year, over 60 of us gather together for a delicious Christmas lunch. I usually dress a little more festively, but I was antsy to wear this fabulous faux leather skirt, so classic black and white it was.
