Black & gold…..such a striking, classic combo that I’ve had a long time obsession with. It feels elegant, sophisticated and chic. Two black & gold items in my wardrobe that I’ve recently picked up are these fab sunglasses and this sparkly top/skirt combo.

I can’t stop wearing these Tom Ford ‘Fany’ sunglasses from IRIS the Visual Group. They have a retro vibe that seems to add a coolness factor to everything I wear. I go through phases with my eyewear brand choices, and right now I can’t stop buying Tom Ford. I’ve recently picked up several pairs of Tom Ford sunglasses and eyeglasses from IRIS, as they have such a great selection.

Side note…speaking of eyeglasses…over the last few years, I’ve been noticing that my vision has been getting worse and worse. I’ve recently started wearing my eyeglasses more often, and my eye health has become a major focus for me. I’m super excited to partner with IRIS the Visual Group for 2017 to share the importance of eye health. Stay tuned for more to come!

Now, back to the black & gold convo…as for this stunning Olivia Palermo + Chelsea28 sparkly blouse and skirt, I was at the Nordstrom Yorkdale grand opening a couple months back, and saw this outfit on a mannequin. I feel immediately in love, and decided that I would go back the following week to try it on. Not even 5 minutes later, I saw another guest at the party wearing the exact same outfit! It looked stunning on her, and at that moment, I knew I needed to own this outfit. I love that they are separates instead of a dress, because i can split them up to create different outfits as well. Both of these pieces are keeping my black & gold love going strong.

Thank you to IRIS the Visual Group for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

Out and About: Kate Spade Shopping Party

Tuesday, January 7, 2014 27 0

Last month, Kate Spade held a fun holiday shopping party at their Yorkville store.  Racing to hit reply on the invite, Gaby and I were giddy with excitement to attend.  The location in Yorkville is not only the most darling Kate Spade store I’ve been in (and trust me, I’ve shopped in a lot of them), but it’s one of the most beautiful stores of any brand I’ve seen.  Surrounded by sparkle, polka dots and colour, I had to stop myself from buying everything in the store!  Here is a glimpse into all of the prettiness.

Pretty display of her gilded shoes and polka dot candle.

Bows on Bows.

Some serious sparkle.

Prettiness All Over . . . coat, dress and bag.

Neck Candy One and Two.

I have this gorgeous bow bangle in gold, but I’m really loving the rose gold as well.

Leopard and Bows . . . the perfect combination.

The cutest pillow ever!  Kate Spade did a DIY post on their blog.  I’m definitely attempting to make this!

A shameless selfie of Gaby and I.

Black and White and Pretty All Over

Wednesday, December 18, 2013 29 0

All pieces thanks to White House | Black Market!  Beaded Jacket (available in stores – love this striped version), Embellished Top, Taffeta Skirt (available in stores but love this black and white checked skirt too), Bow Belt, Pearl Bracelet (available in stores but really love this one too).

What’s Black and White and Pretty All Over?  Well, this outfit of course.  White House | Black Market opened their first Canadian store in October, and let me tell you, I was beyond excited.  Both my Mom and I have been WH | BM shoppers for years.  When they contacted me a few week ago to style an outfit from their store, I jumped at the opportunity.

I spent well over an hour in their store, trying on pretty much every piece in my size.  It was so hard to narrow down my favorite outfit, but I finally decided on these gorgeous pieces above. This outfit feels girly, fun and perfectly me.

Now, I don’t know if you all know this about me, but I’m a shopper.  I spend more than my fair share of time in stores and malls.  I can honestly say that the boutique Associates at WH | BM were so beyond friendly (and patient!), and totally exceeded my expectations.  It’s just so nice to receive amazing customer service.  I was shopping at their new Square One store, but WH | BM is also open at Yorkdale and Upper Canada Mall (all in the Greater Toronto Area).

I pulled this blurb from the WH | BM website because I thought it was so beautifully written and really summarizes what their brand represents:  “Our passion at WH | BM has always been to make women feel beautiful.  That’s what we are all about.  Our clothing is a symbol of who we are:  the honest simplicity of black and white, and the remarkable individuality of the different styles we create from it.  We want our customer to feel that every place she goes is more beautiful…simply because she is there.” Now, how fabulous is that?!

Please note this is a sponsored post, however all opinions and thoughts are my own.  I only work with brands that I truly believe in, and that perfectly represent my style.
