Over the last two months, I had the exciting opportunity to act as a Brand Ambassador for 424 Fifth, the new private label by Lord & Taylor that launched this Spring exclusively at Hudson’s Bay in Canada and Lord & Taylor in the United States.  Sadly, my time as a 424 Fifth Brand Ambassador has come to an end, but this certainly won’t be the last you’ll hear or see of this brand here.

The collection (and now also my closet) is full of fresh, modern and pretty pieces, made from beautiful fabrics in classic styles that I’ll be wearing for years to come.  424 Fifth will be soon be releasing their Fall 2014 look book, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see what they have in store for the upcoming season.  Below is a little “look book” of my own, recapping the six 424 Fifth looks I’ve worn over the last 2 months.  Most of these items are still available in store, at TheBay.com or at LordandTaylor.com.

To all the lovely Canadian ladies out there, I hope you had a wonderful long weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving!  To everyone else, happy Tuesday!

My Thanksgiving was just perfect this year.  My parents came to Toronto for the weekend, and we spent all of our time shopping, eating and relaxing.  My family has never celebrated Thanksgiving in the traditional sense.  No turkey or big dinner for us.  We usually take advantage of the long weekend to travel instead, but no matter what we do, we are always together.

While we decided to spend this Thanksgiving in Toronto, I think everyone else in the City decided to travel because it was like a ghost town here!  We couldn’t get over how few people were around and how empty the roads were.  I must say that I loved every second of it.  Toronto is so fast-paced and there are always so many people around and in your face at all times.  It was quite amazing to feel like the City belonged to us for once, and to actually feel a sense of calm in the air.

How about you all?  How do you usually celebrate Thanksgiving?

Denim on denim has been a big trend for a few seasons now, and it looks like it’s still going strong for Fall.  I’m really excited to be partnering with Old Navy to showcase this trend and how I wear my “Canadian Tuxedo” (I just love that phrase!).

Old Navy offers a huge selection and variety of jeans.  I’m wearing The Sweetheart which is made especially for us curvy ladies, cut with a smaller waist and a little extra room in the thigh.  I love the subtle distressing on this pair, and really love the fact that they come in a petite length, in addition to regular and tall.  Old Navy has a ton of styles and colours of denim, and the best part is that they are having an awesome sale on jeans until August 29th, with prices starting at $19!  Yes, that’s right, I said $19 for a pair of jeans!  You really can’t beat that!

I must also point out that the denim shirt I’m wearing is probably the most perfect denim shirt I’ve ever found.  I usually stick to chambray because the material is a bit lighter, but I really liked the light wash on this shirt so I decided to try it on.  I was so pleased with the cut and fit, and the medium weight to the denim is actually great for the cooler summer nights we’ve been experiencing here in Toronto.  This shirt has very quickly become a staple in my closet.

Please note this post was sponsored by Old Navy, however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.  I personally selected the merchandise I’m wearing and featuring.  I only partner with brands that I firmly believe in, that represent my personal style and that I would fully recommend.
