One of the best parts about blogging is getting to work with and promote really great brands and products that I absolutely love and can’t live without. PARTYSKIRTS is one such brand. PARTYSKIRTS is a division of Skot Apparel, founded by two of the funnest sisters around, Lauren and Mariel Armstrong. Besides wishing I was their best friend, I have a weakness for their gorgeous silk party-perfect skirts.

This stunning Lady Length Skirt in Teacher’s Pet Purple (how fun is that name!), is the first PARTYSKIRTS in my collection, but I see many more in my future. The material is beautiful, the fit is voluminous without being overwhelming, and a huge bonus is that these skirts are made in Canada. It’s so wonderful to be able to support local talent and products.

Top: 424 Fifth (c/o).  Skirt:  424 Fifth.  Sunglasses: Gucci.  Clutch: Coach (similar).  Shoes: Nine West.

Over the last two months, I had the exciting opportunity to act as a Brand Ambassador for 424 Fifth, the new private label by Lord & Taylor that launched this Spring exclusively at Hudson’s Bay in Canada and Lord & Taylor in the United States.  Sadly, my time as a 424 Fifth Brand Ambassador has come to an end, but this certainly won’t be the last you’ll hear or see of this brand here.

The collection (and now also my closet) is full of fresh, modern and pretty pieces, made from beautiful fabrics in classic styles that I’ll be wearing for years to come.  424 Fifth will be soon be releasing their Fall 2014 look book, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see what they have in store for the upcoming season.  Below is a little “look book” of my own, recapping the six 424 Fifth looks I’ve worn over the last 2 months.  Most of these items are still available in store, at TheBay.com or at LordandTaylor.com.

Dress: Gap. Necklace: Banana Republic. Handbag: Coach (similar), (similar from Marc by Marc Jacobs). Shoes: Jimmy Choo (similar by Manolo Blahnik). Coat: Jacob (similar from ModCloth). Sunglasses: Gucci.

Mint Green and Cobalt Blue.  A soft pastel shade and a bold bright hue that don’t seem like they should be paired together, but actually compliment each other quite nicely.  A combination that I’ve worn in the past (in the posts Panama and Pick-Me-Up), and will definitely wear again in the future.  Have you paired these two pretty colors together?  Do you have any unusual yet complimentary color pairings that you love to wear?
