Here Comes the Sun

Jacket: Zara. Top: J.Crew Blythe Blouse. Skirt: ASOS Skater Skirt. Handbag: Gucci Pelham. Shoes: Nine West. Necklaces: Stella & Dot La Coco Curb Chain, ASOS. Watch: Michael Kors. Rings: Kate Spade, Ardene. Bracelets: Forever 21, J.Crew, BCBG. Sunglasses: Chanel.

In my little world, this has been the summer of yellow.  I only recently started wearing this happy, sunny colour, and I just can’t get enough.  I questioned whether this outfit was too bright, even for me, but then one of my favourite Beatles songs popped into my head, and I started singing, “Here Comes the Sun, and I say, it’s all right.”  So I let the lyrics guide me on my choice (which probably isn’t always the smartest decision), but I must say, it’s all right.

Two Timing

Dress: H&M (new). Skirt: Topshop. Hat: H&M. Both Shoes: Jimmy Choo. Handbag: Gucci. Sunglasses: Chanel.

I’m definitely a dress girl.  I just love the femininity and ease.  If a dress can be worn in multiple ways, say as a top or skirt, I’m sold.  So I guess you could have predicted that I would fall in love with this beautiful H&M shift dress.  I not only love the fabulous floral print and baseball sleeves, but I was also attracted to its surprising versatility.  Do you try to get the most from your dresses by wearing them as tops or skirts?

Sunny Spots

Top: Zara. Skirt: Jacob. Handbag: Gucci. Shoes: Jimmy Choo. Belt: Club Monaco. Watch: Michael Kors. Bracelets: Forever 21 chain, J.Crew triple bangle.  Rings: Kate Spade, Ardene. Sunglasses: Chanel.

It was a rainy day last time I wore this skirt (in the post Seeing Spots), so this time I decided to brighten it up with a sunny yellow top.  Yellow is just one of those colours that instantly lifts my mood.  I definitely need to add more of it into my wardrobe.  Does wearing yellow brighten your day too?
