Kate Spade Mixed Lace Dress

Nordstrom – Kate Spade lace dress

How gorgeous is the Kate Spade lace dress above?!?! I spotted it from afar when I was shopping in the new Nordstrom at Yorkdale, and bee lined it right to the rack. I just need to be invited to an awesome event now, so I can justify purchasing this beauty!!

As you may have seen in my last few posts, I’ve partnered with Yorkdale shopping centre to showcase some of the fabulous stores in their new expansion. I spent some time shopping in the new wing, and was blown away by all of the gorgeous Fall pieces I tried on. After going through all of the photos I took in the fitting rooms, I decided to share my top picks from 2 stores: Nordstrom and Oak + Fort, simply because those photos turned out the best. But, I tried on so many beautiful items as stores like Maje, Uniqlo, Mackage, Canada Goose and Reiss.

Have any of you been to the gorgeous new expansion at Yorkdale? What is your favourite new store? What pieces are you eyeing for Fall?

Sweater: Joie (old). Top: H&M. Jeans: H&M. Shoes: Aldo. Travel Bag: Winners. Watch: Michael Kors. Sunglasses: Chanel.

This outfit is very typical of what I always wear when I travel by air:

  • Comfy slip-on flats so I can easily remove them at Security and on the airplane (with socks in my purse).
  • A scarf or a sweater with fur collar to stay warm because I’m always freezing on planes.
  • Layers so I can remove some of them when I reach my warmer destination.
  • A large carry-on travel bag to hold anything that I don’t want to risk losing in my checked luggage, usually including some of my designer handbags and shoes, jewellery, laptop and camera.

Oops. . .  you may notice the hair elastic on my wrist.  Not the most stylish accessory, but definitely another essential for airplane travel.

Crisp Air

Cardigan: J.Crew. Skirt: Necessary Objects. Collar: Detachable Collar from Joie Sweater. Bracelet: Stella & Dot. Ring: Stella & Dot. Clutch: Coach. Shoes: Nine West. Sunglasses: Chanel.

I know I talk about the weather a lot (I think that’s a sign of someone who doesn’t have a lot to say), but I’ve been loving the crisp air we’ve been experiencing here in Toronto.  When I step outside and take a deep breathe, the air feels so clean and refreshing (which is rare for Toronto).  We’ve had a few freezing cold days, but overall, the weather has been just perfect for the end of December.  It’s cool enough for a coat, but warm enough not to wear heavy winter layers.  Here’s hoping for a mild Canadian winter.  (Eek, I hope I didn’t just jinx us!)
