Top: Anthropologie (on sale!). Skirt: Club Monaco (similar). Heels: Boutique 9 (similar). Watch: Michael Kors. Bracelets: Lauren Elan ID Bracelet, BCBG, J.Crew. Rings: Coach, The Bay. Sunglasses: Chanel.

Ahh, words cannot describe how much I love this Anthropologie peplum top.  I actually gasped out loud when I first saw this beauty as I was browsing through the Anthropologie website.  I also gasped (but in a not-so-good way) when I saw that this top was backordered for 2 months!  Yes, that’s right, 2 months!  I hit that purchase button quicker than you can say I-need-you-in-my-closet-oh-beautiful-pink-fluffy-peplum-perfection, and patiently waited until the mailman came knocking.

This top is definitely a standout piece that I can’t help but feel special in when wearing.  There are only a few sizes left in stock, but if you are really determined to have this lovely creation in your wardrobe, I recommend checking back on the Anthro website each day, or even a few times daily.  This top is an online exclusive, and I’ve noticed that sizes keep coming and going out of stock.  Another tip would be to call the Anthropologie customer support line, and they can inform you of any that have been returned to stores, which they can then ship to you.

As for fit, all of the online reviews state that this top runs small, however, my experience is that it runs true to-size, maybe even a little on the large side.  Obviously I don’t need to state that the peplum is very large.  I was concerned that it would overwhelm my 5’2″ frame, however, I quite like the dramatic and high fashion feel of the extra large peplum.

Happy Monday everyone!  Here’s a outfit that I wore out to dinner with Justin last week.  I’m not really a “shorts” girl, but these Milly for Banana Republic shorts caught my eye instantly and I knew I couldn’t leave the store without them in hand.  The pretty print and bright colours work perfectly for a more dressed up look.

Speaking of perfect, Beth from Seersucker & Saddles is also showcasing a dressy shorts look below.  I’ve been reading Beth’s blog almost since she started it, and I was immediately drawn to her preppy, polished style.  Plus, we both share a major love for colour.  If you haven’t already done so, you absolutely must check out Seersucker & Saddles.  I know you’ll love Beth’s style just as much as I do.

Some of you may have seen on Instagram that I purchased this gorgeous abstract print skirt at the Tristan store opening event I attended a few weeks ago.  I immediately fell in love with the beautiful jewel tone colours, and could picture wearing this skirt all year round.  As a fabulous bonus, this skirt is made in Canada, along with many other of the pieces from Tristan.  Sadly, it’s rare now a days that brands produce merchandise in our own country, so it’s wonderful to be able to support our economy.

P.S. Keeping with the Canadian theme of this post, all of you lovely Canadian ladies can click here to enter to win a Clarisonic Mia2 Cleansing System.  I am madly in love with my Clarisonic Mia2 and highly recommend it!
