Chunky Knit

Coat: BCBG (old). Scarf: H&M (similar). Jeans: Old Navy. Shoes: Joan & David (old – similar here). Handbag: Chloe. Gloves: J.Crew (love this pair from B/R). Sunglasses: Gucci.

Hopefully this is one of the last few times you’ll see me wearing a scarf and gloves.  Toronto is supposed to be hit with a snowstorm today, but my fingers are crossed that Spring will finally arrive in a couple of weeks.  It’s most likely wishful thinking, but in the mean time, I’ll try to enjoy adding bright pops of pink to my outfit with pretty winter accessories.  Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Trends with Benefits

All pieces thanks to Ann Taylor! – Coat, Top, Pants, Scarf, Clutch, Shoes.

I am beyond excited to be partnering with one of my favorite clothing brands, Ann Taylor, to showcase one of the key fashion trends of the season, animal print!  Let’s be honest, animal print is always on trend, but this season we’re seeing different takes on this classic pattern, like the gorgeous snow leopard coat I’m wearing, metallic animal prints, and prints combined with bright colors.

I’m also really excited to let you all know that Ann Taylor is currently having their Trends with Benefits event, where you can save 40% off on all of their new merchandise with the code TRENDS40, until November 11!  I already have a long list of items I’ll be picking up this weekend.  I’ve also created a Pinterest board featuring some animal print inspiration, along with some of the Ann Taylor pieces on my wish list.  Please tell me you love animal print as much as I do?!

Snow Day

Coat: Sashimi via Nordstrom (old). Blouse: J.Crew. Jeans: H&M. Boots: Nine West. Scarf: Burberry. Gloves: DanierHeadband: C.C via Honey in Toronto. Sunglasses: Chanel.

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Do you have any fun or romantic plans for tonight?  Every year, Justin makes me a delicious Valentine’s dinner (since he’s the cook in the family).  Restaurants typically offer limited menus with inflated prices on Valentine’s Day, so Justin and I usually do a pre- or post-Valentine’s dinner at a restaurant on the weekend instead.

These photos were taken last weekend after the big snow storm.  Friday was a snow day for me, as it was for many others in the Greater Toronto Area.  I live in downtown Toronto but work in a suburb 30 minutes away, so driving to work in the morning was out of the question.  We spent the day watching the chaos on the streets below from the warmth of our apartment.  We had a good chuckle watching several people actually skiing down the streets of the city, definitely a sight you don’t see everyday.

I hope you and your sweetheart have a wonderful day together.  To all the single ladies (and gents), I hope you are doing something to spoil yourself today!
