Out and About: A Tea Party at Blush

Tuesday, April 15, 2014 12 0

Yesterday I mentioned that Gaby and I had the pleasure of attending the most lovely Tea Party this past Sunday at the cutest shop I’ve ever been to, Blush.  You may already be familiar with Blush from their absolutely beautiful Instagram feed (and if you’re not, you need to follow asap, trust me, you’ll love it).

Michele, the owner, is as sweet as she is stylish, and has created a gorgeous girly space that I just want to live in. Below are some pics from her fabulous event and store.  Most of the items pictured below are also available at Blush’s online store.  I hope you enjoy all of the girly glamour as much as I did!

Spring Shopping List: Rain Boots

Wednesday, April 2, 2014 8 0

I have a few items on my Spring Shopping List, but at the very top of that list is definitely rain boots.  I was unprepared for the crazy snow we had this winter, and I have a strong feeling that Toronto is going to see a lot of rain over the next couple of months.  I’ve learned my lesson, and I’m already on the hunt for the perfect rain boots, umbrellas and rain coats.

I’ve been a big fan of all of the lovely ladies rain boots by Joules, but never knew that they carried clothing, coats and accessories until I was looking for rain boots on their website.  I’m in love with all of the pretty florals, stripes and bright colors in their collection right now.  Cute rain boots can add such a fun finishing touch to an outfit.  Below are two looks that I would wear from head-to-toe, with all pieces from Joules.  I think these navy floral print wellies are maybe the prettiest rain boots I’ve ever seen, and this fabulous striped sun hat is also in my shopping cart.

All items by Joules:  Dress, Necklace, Rain Boots, Hat, Handbag.

All items by Joules: Coat, Rain Boots, Top, Jeans, Scarf, Striped Bracelet, Yellow Bracelet, Blue Bracelet, Tote.

The Perfect Snowy Day Outfit

Thursday, February 27, 2014 3 0

Coat: Canada Goose (also here). Hat: Kate Spade. Sweater: Topshop. Jeans: 7FAM via eLuxe. Gloves: ASOS. Boots: Sorel.

This is the outfit I wish I was wearing today.  When it comes to dressing for the cold weather here in Toronto, you would think that I would have it down pat by now.  Far from it.  With the freezing cold temps we’ve been experiencing, and are going to continue to experience for at least a few more weeks, there are several items that I wish I had purchased at the beginning of the winter season.

Prime example is a super warm Canada Goose coat.  Hard to find this time of year because all of those prepared people out there already purchased the entire stock, Canada Goose coats are the ultimate when it comes to warmth and style.  Another of those super-warm, super-stylish pieces?  Sorel boots.  Nowhere to be found in my size, but so wishing I had these on my feet.
