Crazy Love for . . . Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke

Here’s a little musical treat to start your Friday off right!

I don’t usually share my musical preferences on the blog because it would only consist of songs from the best 3 decades of music, the 50’s, 60’s and 80’s. (I know this statement will cause some serious debate but I’m sticking to it!)  However, I have had the song Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke in my head for 3 weeks now.  The word “obsessed” is definitely over used by most now a days, but I’m actually obsessed with this song.  It literally haunts me in my dreams . . . I dreamt that Robin Thicke was following me around all day singing this song to me, while I was brushing my teeth, driving to work, eating lunch, doing the dishes, etc. (weird!)  I love this song!

But, for some reason, I always call Robin by his father’s name, Alan.  I even typed “Alan” in my post title and realized just before I hit publish.  Perhaps, it’s because I’m an 80’s baby, and grew up watching Growing Pains with Alan Thicke.  Musical talent runs in their family though.  Fun fact. . . Alan Thicke wrote the theme songs to 2 majorly popular t.v. shows, Diff’rent Strokes and The Facts of Life.  Pull that little factoid out in a conversation, and people will be impressed, I assure you.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

“Hurry, hurry!” was what both my Man and I started screaming as it started to rain the moment we walked out the door to take these photos.  I said, “Oh no, my suede shoes!”  He said, “Your shoes?! What about the camera?!” Obviously, we have different priorities in life.

First it was Halloween, now it’s Christmas.  I was feeling pretty good in this outfit until a male co-worker said, “You look like Christmas!  In July!”.  Why yes. . .yes I do.  He thought it was a compliment.  Me, not so much. Gotta love men.
