Creating outfits for Fashion Week was a little more difficult than I had anticipated.  I know, I know. . . such serious problems, right?!  I wanted to wear looks that I felt confident in but that also felt very “me”.  My outfits came together very last minute, mostly as I was running out the door each day.  On the last day of Fashion Week, I was feeling a little low on inspiration, and decided to “copy” myself and re-wear this head-to-toe cobalt number that I posted back in December.  Well, I guess I sensed that the colour of the night would be cobalt because the sweet Iva and wonderful Jane also both rocked this vibrant hue.

One of the most stunning shows during World Mastercard Fashion Week was by Pavoni.  The looks were luxurious and feminine, and the runway was full of lace, tulle, peplum, embroidery, sheer panels and sparkle. . . everything that I love.  Below are my favourite looks from the Pavoni Fall 2013 show.  I would kill to wear that black lace and peplum cocktail dress!  Visit to see the full collection.

Toronto’s fashion elite were out in full force last week for the World Mastercard Fashion Week.  This was my first time attending Fashion Week, and what a week it was.  I will admit that it was not as glamorous as I had imagined, however, I felt like I was in fashion heaven the entire time.  It was so thrilling to be around so many stylish people who share my same love for fashion.  The most exciting part was getting to meet and spend time with many other Toronto bloggers…women I now feel like I can call my friends.

This winter white ensemble was what I wore to the first day of Fashion Week.  Oh, it was freezing outside, but I was determined to not wear tights with any of my outfits.  If there is a time to suffer for fashion, I would say that Fashion Week is definitely that time.

Over the next week, I will share with you what I wore each day for the shows, and also some of my favourite pieces from the most impressive collections on the runways.  My favourite show in terms of wear-ability was definitely Pink Tartan.  Created by Kimberly Newport-Mimran, (wife to Joe Mimran, founder of Club Monaco and Joe Fresh), this collection was full of retro lady-like luxury.  I can honestly say that I would wear almost every piece that came down the runway.  My favourite look was the first piece that kicked off the show. . .the gorgeous floral print swing coat shown below.  I could see myself wearing this coat year round and feeling uber-glamorous no matter what I was wearing it with.
